Synopsis
Soweto, South Africa. Sox is a young Black actor from a wealthy family. His upbringing has ostracized him from the Black community but his skin keeps him from the White one. Then he gets the opportunity of a lifetime: a gangster part in a television series. But Sox has lived a sheltered life. In order to play the role, he must get street-wise and fast. He hooks up with Zama, a childhood friend turned criminal, who agrees to teach him the ways of the underworld. But Sox soon discovers the dangerous appeal of adrenalin, easy money and life in the fast lane. Meanwhile, Zama becomes dangerously tempted to play his own role and steal Sox's big break. What could seem like a fair trade can turn ugly, once the lines between reality and fiction begin to blur...
