Jawdat, like many teenage boys, just wants to find love, hang out with his friends, and go away to the university. But in a Palestinian-Israeli village, where traditional values dominate and nothing stays private for long, finding love is near impossible. Worse yet, Jawdat’s friends are starting to annoy him, and his chances of going to the university look increasingly slim. His problems are only compounded by his father who wants him to join him in the most futile political battle of a lifetime, against a cell phone company that has unjustly built a tower over his olive trees. Comedy weds with the sociopolitical in an exciting coming-of-age story.
