Synopsis

Kapustkowo, a small town somewhere in Poland.
Bogdan (42), a piano teacher, buries his wife Zdenka, a
famous opera singer taken away by cancer. With him,
his mother Katharina (70), a Catholic hooligan, and
Anna (22), his daughter, cold and detached: she doesn't
get along with him at all.
One year later, Bogdan is living a gloomy, monotonous
life in his mother's farm. His only friend is Pawel (27),
the good-hearted local grocer with a crush on Anna.
Everything changes when Bogdan buys a cow, Klara,
from his neighbour. For no apparent reason Klara keeps
escaping to a small lake near the farm. Each time
he finds her there, Bogdan seems to be hearing Mozart's music.
It reminds him of Zdenka who loved
singing Mozart's operas. Bogdan misses that music too much,
so he builds a makeshift blaster system,
playing music all over the farm. This has a surprising result: Klara's milk is unlike any other milk. Not just
good but simply amazing ! Klara seems to love Mozart …
just like Zdenka. Maybe Zdenka reincarnated into
Klara, Pawel jokes. That same night, Klara runs off
to the lake again with Bogdan chasing her. How can that
cow possibly know the importance of this place for him?
Is it magic, or is he just crazy?
